FAQ
Is Gundam Assemble a video game?
No. It is a physical miniatures strategy game using approximately 50 mm Gunpla, a hex map, unit cards, Tactics cards and ten-sided dice. You need another player and a play space rather than an app or console.
What should I buy first?
ST01 is the compact complete two-player starting point, with six models and materials for 3-on-3 scenarios. A Deluxe set offers a themed scenario experience. An expansion adds units and cards but does not include a complete shared play space.
When did Gundam Assemble release?
The global launch was announced for October 31, 2026, with regional exceptions. ST01, EX01 and EX02 are in the October US lineup. DX01 is now listed for November. The October 26 US notice moved PA01 to November; Japan has a separate schedule.
How much does ST01 cost?
The official US product lineup lists $35 MSRP. The Bandai US store can use a $34.99 retail listing. These are region-specific references rather than a guarantee of current local stock, discounts or shipping-inclusive price.
Are the miniatures already painted?
No. The product listings describe unpainted miniatures. Painted samples show possible finishes. Follow the assembly instructions, choose suitable paint products and check event-specific modelling requirements if you plan to compete.
Can I mix units from different Gundam series?
The core squad-building rules allow it unless the selected scenario imposes restrictions. The scenario determines how many units you use. Your Tactics cards still need to meet their signature-title or trait requirements.
Can I take multiple copies of the same Gundam?
Check unit card numbers. Identical numbers are normally restricted to one copy, except Mass Produced units. Different card numbers with the same mobile suit name can be distinct units. Keep their signature Tactics and model identification clear.
How many Tactics cards are in a deck?
Exactly nine, with one copy of each card. Signature Tactics require the corresponding unit and title; trait-restricted cards require a matching trait in your squad. You draw three at the start and three after Phase 1, with additional draws only when an effect provides them.
Does moving my Timeline token end my activation?
No. Paying an action cost changes when the unit will next activate, while the current activation's allowed actions and effects still finish. Tokens can wrap from space 10 into the next Phase. Additional card effects can modify the timing.
Are destroyed units removed for the whole game?
Under the core rules, defeated units return to Reserve, move their Timeline token forward two spaces and can later redeploy. Reset HP and status effects, but keep Energy and upgrades. The opponent receives the unit's VP value.
Where can I get the latest rules and card text?
Use the official rules page and the official unit and Tactics lists linked in Resources. The current English Core Rulebook is version 1.1, updated October 30, 2026. Event requirements and later official updates take priority over older guides.
Is this the official Gundam Assemble website?
No. This is an independent fan wiki. For product support, event registration and official rulings, use the relevant Bandai website. For a correction to this wiki, contact contact@gundamassemble.wiki.
