The comparison that matters
MSRP is the official US reference price, not a live store quote or a currency conversion. Availability varies by region. The current lineup lists DX01 for November 2026 and DX02 for December 2026.

| DX01 | 13 | Mobile Suit Gundam, 5 vs 5 | $100 |

| EX01–EX05 | 3 each | Additional squad options | $40 each |
ST01: the straightforward first box
ST01 puts six units from Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam Wing and Iron-Blooded Orphans in one starter. Its two scenarios and shared game materials make it an accessible route into the rules. The smaller model count also reduces the painting project before your first session.
Pick this set when your main goal is learning the activation loop with another new player. Its assortment is a crossover selection rather than a single-series collection. You can add an expansion later without buying another complete starter.
DX01 and DX02: buy for the scenario
DX01 contains 13 unpainted miniatures, two maps and play materials for Mobile Suit Gundam scenarios, including 5-on-5 games with battleship-class units. Its release month was changed from the early announcement; use November 2026 when checking current listings.
DX02 is themed around Gundam SEED. Bandai describes 14 miniatures, two maps and asymmetric 5-versus-3 battles involving battleship-class units. A larger box is a different scenario experience, not an automatic competitive upgrade over ST01.
When an expansion is enough
EX packs contain three unpainted miniatures, three unit cards, nine Tactics cards and game tokens. The listed contents do not include a map, terrain or dice. That is a good fit if you can use a friend's game materials or already own a starter.
EX01 focuses on Gundam UC, EX02 on The Witch from Mercury, EX03 on Mobile Suit Gundam, and EX04/EX05 on Gundam Wing. Choose a theme and units you want to build before treating extra purchases as a strategy requirement.
Avoid these buying mistakes
- Check the product code: Assemble ST01 and Card Game ST01 name different products.
- Check the region and latest release notice rather than relying on the original announcement.
- Check physical contents before assuming a published online card is printed inside a box.
- Budget for painting supplies separately unless the specific listing includes them.
- Use a full set when neither player owns the shared game equipment.
